Joy Pockets

~ Spending a little unexpected time with this red headed whirling dervish

~  making dinner with my husband

~ a day out with my mom, just the two of us

~ two long timers at the shelter getting adopted

~ going back to work and catching up with my work friends

~ morning coffee made with fresh ground beans

~ using butternut squash right from our garden

~ finding vacation photos I thought were gone

~ completing some projects that have long been on my list

~ a cat on my lap while I type

  1. Sounds like you had a nice week. I especially like a day out with your mom as my mom lives across the ocean and I don't see her as often as I would like. Also 2 long timers at the shelter finding a good home.

  3. MJ, she is the living persona of joy! She is always so happy, joyful, and vibrant! She is my cousin's daughter, and my goddaughter- just being with her a moment can make you smile!

    "two long timers at the shelter getting adopted"
    makes me warm and happy all over.

  5. Oh! Do you work at an animal shelter? I used to want to do that. Awesome about the butternut...ours is nowhere near ready for harvest.

  6. I don't work there, but I do volunteer for our city's shelter. It is sometimes hard, but always worth it. :)
